What is your training background/experience?

Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery – Otago, NZ 1996 Fellow of Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (Urology) 2006, Fellowship in Laparoscopic Renal Surgery at Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane 2007.

Why did you choose your area of specialty?

Urology is a great mix of medicine, traditional surgery and modern techniques and equipment. It also offers a reasonable lifestyle mix, not that it shows in my golf handicap!

What is the most interesting/exciting area of your work, and why?

Working with a great bunch of staff, colleagues and patients.

What has been your greatest professional achievement so far?

Balancing life as a new consultant with having a young family.

What is the most challenging thing about working in your specialty?

Limited resources and time management.
