July was a significant month for our hospitals, with a number of important milestones being celebrated as highlighted throughout this edition of Generally Speaking.
One of these milestones is the recent announcement that Mater and Department of Veterans' Affairs have launched into a tier one partnership to provide specialised health care services to Queensland veterans and their families.
Through this agreement, veterans who live in Brisbane and Redland will now be able to access the full range of medical and surgical treatment and care at either the Mater Private Hospital Brisbane and Mater Private Hospital Redland without prior approval from DVA. This partnership represents a significant step forward in the availability of health care for veterans and is a wonderful example of Mater working with the Federal Government to provide an exceptional service.
