The delivery of Queensland's 15th set of quadruplets presented some unique challenges for Mater Mothers' Hospitals obstetric theatre team.
The logistics, coordinated activity and integrated approach of highly specialised teams was a fantastic example of the exceptional care of which all Mater staff can be proud.
Obstetric nurse Joylene Lynch was fortunate enough to be on duty and saw the trouble-free delivery of the Taggart quads.
“I have never witnessed the delivery of quads before so it was a real privilege to be involved in such a rare event. The professional and emotional rewards are indescribable,” she said.
