Specialty—breast and endocrine surgery
Dr Wilkinson completed his specialist training in Brisbane and in Bristol, UK. He has an interesting background highlighted by being the chief surgeon in the Kingdom of Tonga and also being given the privilege of organising the endocrine section of the RACS ASC 2003. Dr Wilkinson enjoys a challenge and chose breast and endocrine surgery as a specialty because of the large variety of pathology, both benign and malignant, requiring a broad array of skills.
His special interests include sentinel node biopsy, minimal access thyroid and parathyroid surgery and laparoscopic adrenalectomy.
Dr Wilkinson is currently consulting at Mater Private Breast Care Unit.
