Share care Update
The revised 2005 Mater Mothers' Hospital GP Antenatal Share Care Protocol was accepted by the group and will be distributed to all share-care GPs by Mater and Divisions of General Practice in August. It incorporates new early screening protocols and recommendations for Anti-D prophylaxis, Hep C and HIV testing. All GPs sharing care with Mater Health Services should familiarise themselves with the new care approaches.
In other news
Mater Mothers' Hospital and the Local Divisions of General Practice are finalising a bookings e-referral, allowing GPs to populate much of the referral information from their existing software systems. The approach is very similar to that taken in the generic hospital referral form, currently loaded on to many practice systems around Brisbane south. This will make it easy for GPs to include all relevant information for Mater Mothers' Hospital Bookings in their referrals. This form will also be available in hard copy. Watch this space!
