Mater Hospitals' Trust, the philanthropic arm of Mater Health Services, recently changed its name to Mater Foundation. The new name was chosen to better reflect the wide scope of Mater programs and projects funded by Mater Foundation, which includes medical research at MMRI and community health programs, as well as hospital-based activities and equipment.
