Mater researchers, pathologists and clinicians are set to play a critical part in revolutionising treatments for cancer and other diseases, as part of a new collaborative to develop "magic bullets" to wipe out disease.

Dr Malcolm Davison is a cardiologist whose specialist interest lies in ischaemic heart disease, valvular heart disease, echocardiography, stress echocardiography and coronary angiography.
Minister for State Development John Mickel recently presented A$494 926 to Mater Medical Research Institute (MMRI) to assist with the operating costs for a world first trial into a prostate cancer vaccine.
Mater now provides a more timely service for the treatment of skin lesions through a Skin Lesion Clinic at Mater Adult Hospital.
