As the new mothers’ hospitals continue to take shape, three key staff members have been appointed to guide and grow the clinical services of the new facility.
With a collaborative approach to the provision of premium patient care, each staff member provides an integral service within the women’s health services.
Deputy Director Women’s Health Service—Ambulatory and Birthing Services Maree Reynolds commenced work with Mater Mothers’ Hospitals 18 months ago as a Practice Development Midwife in Birth Suites before being appointed to her current position in August.
Having worked extensively in tertiary maternity hospitals, predominantly in birthing services, Ms Reynolds was the ideal candidate for the position. Her commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for both the women and their families who access Mater’s services cannot be questioned.
As a member of Mater Mothers’ leadership team, Ms Reynolds’ portfolio encompasses birth suites, antenatal clinics, home care, lactation, natural family planning, midwifery group practice and parent education and support.
Her role will also facilitate collaboration with visiting specialists, providing opportunities to work together to promote best practice.
