There have been whispers about a follow up to Mater’s highly successful Business Class conference in 2006. Well, it seems the rumours are true. Mater Health Services has begun production on their latest private practice development conference: Business Class 2—The Sequel.
Mater’s Chief Marketing Officer, Ieuan Hyde confirmed that a casting call had gone out.
“Yes, yes. You may as well know that it’s all true,” he said, running a gauntlet of media as he left his office for a meeting yesterday. “We’re looking for doctors and their practice managers to fill the lead roles in what will be the most spectacular business development conference Mater has ever produced. Now where’s my car?”
Celebrity gossip magazine, Spleen, recently published a leaked copy of the script and production notes. The revelations have forced Business Class 2’s production team to end the speculation.
“We’ll release more details over time, but you can print this,” continued Mr Hyde as he clicked his keyless entry at various corners of the car park, “Business Class 2 will cover the most pressing, contemporary concerns for doctors currently in private practice and those just starting out. Participants will come away with a comprehensive understanding of medicolegal, IT, HR, health insurance, marketing, superannuation, tax, book keeping and Medicare issues among other things.”
The leaked documents suggest that most of the location shots will be taken at the beautiful Hyatt Regency Sanctuary Cove on the Gold Coast, where cast and crew will enjoy full accommodation and meals. They’ll live the superstar lifestyle, including a premiere dinner at Movie World.
“All true,” was all Mr Hyde would say as his blinkers lit up and he strode away. “Now if you’ll excuse me?”
Judging by his haste, this reporter thinks he and his team must be hatching something big. We’ll just have to wait and see.
Business Class 2—The Sequel is due to premiere 28–29 March 2009.
