Specialist Profile—Dr Malcolm Davison

After graduating from the University of Queensland in 1981, Dr Malcolm Davison went on to complete his medical internship and registrar training at Mater Adult Hospital. In 1988 he transferred to The Prince Charles Hospital to complete his advance training in cardiology.

Dr Davison then moved to the USA to sub-specialise in echocardiography at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. In 1991, he then returned to Mater to take up a position as a staff cardiologist at Mater Adult Hospital and the Prince Charles Hospital. In the same year he also started his private cardiology consultative practice.

Dr Davison’s special interests are ischaemic heart disease, valvular heart disease, echocardiography, stress echocardiography and coronary angiography.
