Dr Martin Wood, a neurosurgeon who trained in both Brisbane and Melbourne and obtained his FRACS in 2005, has recently commenced practice at Mater Private Clinic. Dr Wood’s special interests are paediatric neurosurgery, base of skull neurosurgery, surgery for epilepsy, spinal neurosurgery, hydrocephalus and trigeminal neuralgia.
Dr Wood undertook further subspecialty training in base of skull neurosurgery in Cambridge, UK and paediatric neurosurgery in Paris. When he returned from France earlier this year, Dr Wood was appointed to posts at Mater Children’s Hospital, Princess Alexandra Hospital and the Royal Children’s Hospital.
