On 3 September, Mater Private Hospital Redland celebrated its fifth year of providing exceptional care to the Bayside community.
Since opening its doors five years ago, Mater Private Hospital Redland has taken pride in delivering a high quality comprehensive private health care service for all patients, their families and friends.
Mater Private Hospital Redland was the first private acute hospital to open in the shire and offers specialised surgical and medical services, including orthopaedics, obstetrics and gynaecology, urology, plastic and cosmetic surgery, general medicine, gastroenterology, uro-gynaecology, ophthalmology, and day procedures.
Caring for more than 24 500 patients over the past five years, the hospital has expanded its services in response to the growing number of people moving to the area, introducing a Women's Health Unit and adding extra on-site medical suites.
Mater Private Hospital Redland also offers an expert physiotherapy service that specialises in women's health providing antenatal and postnatal care, treatment for back pain and pelvic floor rehabilitation and also group exercise classes for symptoms of menopause and osteoporosis.
In celebration of their achievements, Mater Private Hospital Redland hosted the “Redland Family Health Expo” as a way of saying thanks to the local community for their support.
“I am very proud of what we have been able to achieve in such a short period of time and the expo was a great opportunity for our staff, patients and the local community to reflect on our accomplishments and celebrate our fifth birthday,” Ms Debra Moen, Director of Clinical Services at Mater Private Hospital Redland said.
The obstetrics unit at Mater Private Redland also celebrated four years of births, delivering more than 900 Bayside babies during that time.
