The Care Collaborations: Paediatric Community Complex Care project facilitated by DART Paediatrics has developed the following presentations to enhance the delivery of care for infants on supplemental home oxygen within the primary health and community health sectors.
The education aims is to develop increased knowledge and confidence for health care professionals (general practitioners, general practice nurses, community nursing and allied health staff) to support families in their local communities. The education will provide the opportunity to improve the integration of health care services and enhance the coordination of paediatric complex care outside the tertiary sector. An educational booklet has been developed and is available to support the education provided in the videos. (Please contact the Mater Children’s Hospital Respiratory and Sleep Medicine Department).
Tertiary support and guidance from medical, nursing and allied health is available from Mater Children’s Hospital by contacting the Respiratory and Sleep Medicine Department on telephone 07 3139 8078.
If you would like to provide feedback or comment on the presentations please contact DART Paediatrics on telephone 07 3163 1760.
We look forward to working collaboratively with you in the care of infants on supplemental home oxygen.
Care Collaborations: Paediatric Community Complex Care is a 18 month project funded through Connecting Health Care in Communities Initiatives (CHIC), QLD Health. We would like to acknowledge their financial contribution to support the work developed by the project.
