New equipment for premature and sick babies an Australian-first

Antenatal clinic referrals

Mater Mothers’ Hospital Antenatal Clinic has developed a new standard referral form. From Monday 19 October 2009 only referrals using the standard referral form will be accepted.

Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit

The Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit (EPAU) is a specialist area in Mater Mothers' Hospital (MMH) that deals specifically with problems in early pregnancy. The unit is located on level 7 of the new MMH.

Mater Mothers' Hospital GP Shared Care Alignment

GPs wishing to provide shared antenatal care with Mater Mothers’ Hospital (MMH) need to be ‘aligned’ with the hospital.

Refugee maternity service

The Refugee Maternity Service is based on a best practice model to support appropriate health care, psycho-social support and resources for women of a refugee background birthing at Mater Mothers Hospital.
