Biography

After graduating from the University of Queensland, Dr Domenika Turkiewicz trained in General Surgery before undertaking Fellowship in Breast and Endocrine Surgery. She is a member of Breast Surgeons of Australia and New Zealand Inc. and Australian Endocrine Surgeons as well as other professional bodies including international Breast and Endocrine surgical associations. She has a special interest in intra-operative recurrent laryngeal nerve monitoring which she utilises during all thyroid and parathyroid procedures.

Dr Turkiewicz values the close interaction she has with her patients, particularly female breast cancer patients who are unique in their needs and expectations of their health carers. She practices within Multidisciplinary Breast Cancer setting and is a surgical VMO at BreastScreen QLD Southside Service.

Dr Turkiewicz consults from the Mater Private Breast Cancer Centre as well as from QLD Breast Cancer and Thyroid Surgery located at Greenslopes Specialist Centre.
