Biography

Dr Hamilton-Craig has returned to Queensland after performing research and fellowship training at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, Rome, Italy, the University of Erlangen, Germany, and the University of Washington, Seattle, USA.

Dr Hamilton-Craig is one of the only cardiologists in Australia with advanced expertise in multi-modality cardiac imaging (Echo, Stress Echo, Myocardial Contrast Echo, Cardiac CT Angiography, Cardiac MRI), and has completed his PhD through the University of Queensland in non-invasive cardiac imaging.

Dr Hamilton-Craig is a Staff Cardiologist in Cardiac Imaging at the Prince Charles Hospital, and holds academic titles as Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland, and as conjoint Assistant Professor at the University of Washington, USA. He is the co-chair of the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography for Australia-NZ, has won a number of prestigious academic awards and is published in highly-ranked cardiology journals.

His clinical interests are in the imaging of myopathies, valvular heart disease, adult congenital disorders, and in indigenous health. Dr Hamilton-Craig consults and performs cardiac imaging at Mater Private Clinic South Brisbane.
