Biography

A graduate of the University of Queensland, Dr Carissa Phillips is locally educated and trained, gaining various facets of surgical experience throughout her career in South East Queensland hospitals, including Nambour and Logan Hospitals, the Princess Alexandra Hospital, The Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital, Greenslopes Private Hospital and Mater Health Services.

A Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in General Surgery, Dr Phillips was a Breast and Endocrine Fellow at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital during 2009, and is now balancing a career and a young family, working part-time at the Mater Private Hospital Brisbane and Mater Mothers' Private Hospital.

Dr Phillips specialises in Breast and Endocrine surgery and also has a special interest in acute general surgery.
