Dr Ron James specialises in general paediatric medicine and neonatology and has a long association with Mater Health Services since graduating from The University of Queensland.
Dr James began working at Mater in 1982 as a first year resident and was invited to become a paediatric registrar in 1983. He completed his training at the Princess Margaret Hospital for Children in Perth as senior paediatric registrar and in 1989 qualified as a Fellow of The Royal Australian College of Physicians (paediatrics).
Returning to Brisbane in 1990 he established a private practice and was appointed by Mater as a VMO in general paediatrics and until earlier this year, paediatric intensive care.
Dr James consults privately at both Mater Medical Centre and Sunnybank Private Medical Centre. He is currently a senior VMO at the Mater Children’s Hospital and a lecturer in paediatrics with The University of Queensland.
