Providing healthcare to the community doesn’t stop over the holidays. While there are some closures of Mater facilities and services, many services remain open over the Christmas and New Year break. To view Mater’s opening times for key clinical areas please see below. Mater wishes you and your family a safe and happy Christmas.
Emergency The emergency departments at Mater Private Hospital Brisbane and Mater Hospital Brisbane remain open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Outpatient clinics Mater Hospital Brisbane outpatient clinics will have decreased clinic activity from Thursday 24 December 2015 until Monday 11 January 2016. Clinics will run as normal outside of these times and the Referral and Appointment Management Service will be staffed during this time for referral processing.
Mater Private Hospitals Mater Private Hospital Brisbane Sessional Suites will be closed 23 December through to 4 January Mater Private Hospital Redland sessional suites will be closed from 22 December to 4 January Mater Mothers’ Hospitals Maternal Fetal Medicine Closed on 25 and 28 December, and also 1 January
*Please note: MFM will continue to book tertiary, urgent, inpatient and case management/follow up scans. It will not be booking any routine scan appointments over this period. There is a MFM consultant on-call 24/7 where after hours consultation/advice can be discussed.
