Consultation and treatment for oncology patients is delivered at the Mater Cancer Care Centres at South Brisbane and Springfield. The clinical condition and address for each patient will be considered when determining the consultation/treatment location.

This service provides treatment for patients with a diagnosis of cancer.
Please note: Patients need a confirmed diagnosis of cancer prior to referral.
Please include all of the minimum referral requirements and:
Histologically confirmed carcinoma
For leukemia, lymphoma and multiple myeloma – referral to Haematology is required
If patient is likely to require surgery, consider referral to Colorectal Surgery, Breast/Endocrine Surgery or Gynae/Oncology.

Mater offers patients the opportunity to attend bulk billed clinics. To provide your patient with the opportunity to attend a bulk billed specialist clinic, please provide a named referral to one of our specialists listed above.
If you wish to discuss a referral with a medical officer from this specialty, please contact 07 3163 6166 and ask to speak with an Oncology medical officer.
