Mater has welcomed a further three Business Leads, supporting improved leadership and clinical governance across the organisation, in alignment with our Exceptional Every Time (EET) strategy.
The appointment of Luke van Luik (Neurosciences), Ian Le Quesne (Surgical/Acute Care Services) and Chris Sullivan (Cancer Care Services) finalises the appointment of Business Leads across five identified clinical streams.
Luke has experience across a variety of international companies, and formed part of the leadership team which led the transformation and growth of Alderson Ambulance in South Africa, focussing on business improvement through innovation and enabling performance through culture.
Ian commenced his career in manufacturing operations and has since progressed into operational leadership roles with Fonterra and Goodman Fielder. He then transitioned to operations management, most recently as the General Manager–Integrated Operations, Royal Flying Doctor Service, where he was instrumental in establishing an operational service group which incorporated medical, nursing, aviation and administration.
Chris has held several senior management and director level positions with PwC (pricewaterhousecoopers), focussing on strategic financial and operational consulting. He has provided major capital project financial modelling, operating cost analysis and performance reporting consulting services to the global mining industry and across the Australian health sector, in addition to operational reviews for Gold Coast Metro South Hospital and Health Services.
The appointment of Luke, Ian and Chris supports the broader aims of Mater’s EET strategy to improve healthcare through the consistent and strategic integration of health, education and research.
