Mater Hospital Brisbane’s Urology Department now offers a rapid, central access service for

patients across greater South East Queensland with stone related urological conditions.

As a unique clinic and one of the first of its kind publicly in Queensland, the clinic offers a

full range of specialist stone care including diagnostics, treatment and prevention education

for patients.

We offer

Prompt, daily review and contact for urgent referrals
Patients appointments allocated daily and by phone as required
Direct telephone access to Urology Nurse Practitioner for GPs and/or patients with concerns or requiring advice
Weekly dedicated outpatient clinic for stone patients
Management of non-urgent cases
Stone prevention advice

Our team

Mater’s Stone Service comprises a dedicated Urologist and Nurse Practitioner to provide

exceptional care and advice for all patients.

Referrals and enquiries

To refer to a patient to the Urology Stone Service, please complete the Mater Outpatient

Referral form and fax to 07 3163 8548 ensuring a named referral is indicated

and minimum referral requirements have been met.
