Mater is pleased to welcome Carlie Nielsen as Director of Nursing, Cancer Care Services.
Carlie has held a number of roles within the cancer care sector, and is experienced in providing strategic leadership to support clinical, financial and operational outcomes, as evidenced in her most recent role as Acting Assistant Director of Nursing, Special Projects at The Wesley Hospital.
This experience combined with her proven ability to lead teams during periods of change will support Mater’s transition to a clinical stream model of healthcare delivery—providing low-variability, evidence-based care, while maintaining a genuine focus on high quality, individualised customer service.
Carlie holds a Bachelor of Nursing and Post Graduate Certificate in Leadership and Management from Griffith University, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Oncology Nursing from Queensland University of Technology.
Her appointment finalises the recruitment of Director of Nursing positions across all clinical streams.
