Biography

Dr David Moore is a graduate of The University of Queensland Medical School.  He completed his specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology in metropolitan and regional Queensland.  Dr Moore received a solid foundation to training in tertiary obstetric units and has developed skills in the management of complex and high-risk pregnancies and deliveries.

As a father of two young boys, Dr Moore recognises how pregnancy and childbirth can be the most exciting and trepidatious time of our lives.  He understands that this time in a woman’s life requires special, personalised attention and, importantly, a sense of continuity and availability.  Dr Moore strives to build successful and continuing relationships with his patients through communication, understanding, and honesty; providing expert opinion, respecting patients’ personal beliefs and values, and giving clear direction when necessary to achieve the optimal outcome.

Dr Moore’s particular interests in gynaecology include pelvic floor (prolapse) surgery and the management of urinary incontinence.  He is also trained in the management of abnormal Pap smears and minimally-invasive surgical management of many gynaecological conditions. Dr Moore is also a senior lecturer at the University of Queensland.

Dr Moore is well-known by both his peers and patients for his friendliness and sincerity, as well as his professionalism and firm commitment to the provision of quality treatment for those under his care.

Dr Moore is an Eve Health Obstetrician who chooses to only deliver at Mater Mothers' Private Brisbane.
