Privately-insured Patients

For patients with private health insurance, a GP referral letter will need to be sent to the chosen Mater Mothers’ Private Brisbane obstetrician before a patient can make an appointment.

Patients without health insurance

Mater Mothers' Hospital offers various antenatal care options to suit the needs and lifestyles of different women and their families. Options will be discussed at the first visit to Mater Mothers’ Hospital.

The choices for maternity care include:

• public obstetric care
• midwifery care
