Dr Morris completed his General Surgery training in QLD, then undertook further Colorectal Surgery training at the Austin Hospital in Melbourne, and in the Cambridge University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in England.
He holds a Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS), is a Member of the Section of Colon and Rectal Surgery of the RACS, a Provisional Member of the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand, and a Conjoint Committee accredited colonoscopist. He is a Senior Lecturer with the University of Queensland, and has been appointed the Surgical Supervisor of Training at the Princess Alexandra Hospital.
Dr Morris looks after a range of colorectal surgery conditions – including those effecting the bowel (inflammatory bowel disease, diverticulitis, cancer) the anus and rectum (e.g. haemorrhoids, anal fissures, anal fistulas, rectal prolapse, incontinence, defecatory disorders), and those general surgical conditions including hernias and gallbladder surgery.
In 2016, he completed his robotic training on the new da Vinci robotic system in Australia and in South Korea and offers robotic surgery.
