Biography

Lorryn is an endorsed Clinical Psychologist & Clinical Neuropsychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia, and is a Member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and Fellow of the APS College of Clinical Neuropsychologists. She has worked in both the private and public sectors, and has had experience within tertiary hospital neurology departments, memory clinics, and rehabilitation wards as well as community psychiatric services. 
 
Lorryn has experience and strong interests in the provision of Neuropsychological Assessment for individuals aged 16+ for the purposes of diagnostic clarification, rehabilitation/ treatment planning, access to support services (e.g. NDIS, DSP), and determining decision-making capacity. She has experience in Neuropsychological Assessment for a range of conditions, including traumatic brain injuries and concussions, dementia and other neurodegenerative conditions, epilepsy, stroke and vascular disease, tumours, inflammatory conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis and encephalitis, neurodevelopmental conditions, and psychiatric disorders.
 
Along with working in private practice, she is currently employed as the Senior Clinical Neuropsychologist within The Mater Hospital Centre for Neurosciences where she has a focus on pre- and post-surgical assessments for treatment-refractory epilepsy. Lorryn is also a Clinical Psychologist and is experienced in the treatment of cognitive, emotional, and behavioural symptoms of neurological and neurodevelopmental conditions. 
 
Lorryn also has research interests and has co-authored three publications on the assessment of Post-Traumatic Amnesia (PTA) following Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). She is currently involved in research exploring the utility of spatial learning/ memory tasks for seizure localisation and lateralisation in epilepsy.
