Dr Holt began his career as an analytical chemist before completed a Ph.D in the metabolic consequences of chronic disease at the Royal Childrens Hospital and University of Queensland in 1990. He maintains an ongoing interest in this area.
Dr Holt completed his medical training at the university of Queensland in 1997. He completed his advanced training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. His interests include all aspects of general gastroenterology. He performs diagnostic and therapeutic gastroscopy and colonoscopy. Dr Holt performs private work at Mater Private Hospital Springfield.
