Dr Nguyen is a consultant general surgeon with a special interest in colorectal and laparoscopic surgery. He graduated from the University of New South Wales in 2006 with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery and Bachelor of Medical Science.
He completed his advanced General Surgical training and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2017.
Dr Nguyen has since undertaken two further years of specialist training including areas such as general, colorectal and minimally invasive surgery at the QEII Hospital and Mater Hospital Brisbane.
He currently operates consults at the Mater Medical Centre and operates at the Mater Private Hospital Brisbane. He also has public appointments in both the QEII Hospital and Mater Hospital Brisbane.
Dr. Nguyen is actively involved in teaching medical students at both the University of Queensland and the Griffith University. He is the Surgical lead facilitator for Griffith University at the QEII Hospital
