Biography

Dr Leanne Chapman is an Obstetrician & Gynaecologist who provides personalised care to women across all stages of life.  Her caring and sensitive approach puts patients at ease. 

Leanne provides obstetric services to both low and high risk pregnancies and supports vaginal births after a caesarean section (VBACs).  She has a special interest in caring for pregnant women with a history of stillbirths or multiple pregnancy losses.

Leanne manages all areas of general gynaecology, especially menstrual disorders and pelvic pain.  She is particularly interested in the management of pelvic organ prolapse as well as other surgical procedures such as laparoscopic surgery, endometrial ablation and hysterectomy including the minimally invasive total laparoscopic hysterectomy.

Leanne studied Medicine at the University of Queensland and has worked for a number of years at the Royal Brisbane & Women’s as well as the Gold Coast, Hervey Bay and Logan Hospitals.  She holds a Senior Lecturer academic title at Griffith University School of Medicine.  Leanne has recently become a mother to a beautiful little boy.  This experience has given her a fresh perspective and appreciation of the journey of pregnancy, birth and motherhood.
