Biography

Christine is a Paedicare Paediatrician who provides newborn services at Mater Mothers' Private Brisbane.

Christine attended highschool and university in Brisbane and graduated from the University of Queensland Medical School in 2005. Christing spent subsequent years working in paeidatrics at the former Royal Children's Hospital, several of the units in peripheral towns around Queensland and locum work at regional interstae sites.

She has experience in intensive care and acute medicine for babies and also older children. Christine has completed her fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in General Paediatrics in 2014.

Christine's special interests lie in the area of caring for children with complex and life-limiting medical conditions and their families from antenatal diagnosis through to young adult patients. This work involves holistic and individualised considerations of each baby, child and young person, and their family and community context. This interest led to work in paediatric palliative care, and she completed a second fellowship in Paediatric Palliative Medicine, awarded in 2017. She also has a Clinical Diploma and a Master's degree in Palliative Medicine.
