Biography

Dr Ahmad Ali is a urological surgeon with a particular interest in prostate cancer, laparoscopic urological surgery, benign prostate surgery, urinary incontinence and complicated renal stone surgery.

He graduated from City University of New York, USA with honours in Bachelor of Science before relocating to Australia where he completed a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at University of Sydney in 2001.

Dr Ali undertook his urology training in Brisbane, successfully attaining a fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2011. He gained further experience as a fellow at Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital in Brisbane, focussing on complicated stone surgery, laparoscopic kidney cancer surgery, incontinence surgery, stone diseases and prostate cancer surgery.

Dr Ali is a member of the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand and is senior lecturer at The University of Queensland. He conducts private work at Mater Private Hospital Springfield. 

Dr Ali specialises in surgery for prostate, kidney and bladder cancer, laparoscopic keyhole surgery for benign and malignant conditions, laser stone surgery, benign prostatic surgery (TURP), green light laser prostate surgery, incontinence surgery, penile prosthesis and female urology.
