Wi-Fi upgrade project starts in South East Queensland
Our Wi-Fi Upgrade project is part of Mater’s ongoing digital transformation that will maximise our ability to deliver care and strengthen the employee, patient and consumer experience.
 
The project is aligned to our Digital Plan and Capital Works program, and once completed will mean faster, more secure and more reliable network connectivity in all of our South East Queensland Facilities. Further work is also planned for Central and North Queensland in the coming years to improve network connectivity across the state.
 
The upgrade will take place in each building, floor by floor with work commencing this week on Mater Mothers’ Level 13. Work will progress through each level of the Mater Mothers with work expected to take approximately a week for each level.
  • June, July, August 2021—Mater Mothers' Hospitals, South Brisbane campus
  • August, September, October 2021—Mater Hospital Brisbane
  • September, October, November 2021—Mater Private Hospital Brisbane and Mater Private Clinic
  • November 2021 to mid-2022—All other South Brisbane campus buildings, Mater Private Hospital Redland, Mater Private Hospital Springfield, Mater Health Centre Brookwater, Mater Health Centre Hope Island.
While Wi-Fi upgrade works are carried out, you may experience some noise and changes to access in our buildings so please follow the detours for your safety. Impacted floors will be notified in advance as the rollout progresses.
