GP Education Wonderland Conference weekend wrap up

Delegates from throughout the greater Brisbane region attended the GP Education Wonderland Conference at the Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort Gold Coast from 10 – 11 June for a weekend of education, networking and fun.

The two day conference program featured more than 20 sessions covering a range of topics from Neurosciences, Cancer Care, Surgical and Acute Care, Medical and Women’s Health.

GPs were encouraged to download the conference App that not only allowed them to check-in, view presentations, ask questions from the floor and provide immediate feedback, they could keep track of any last minute program changes and find out more about the presenters.

Mater Education hosted a concise and practical series of CPR sessions for those wanting to refresh their knowledge and skills.

Delegates were also treated to some ‘curiouser and curiouser’ fun at the Mad Hatters Tea Party, and the Queen of Hearts Cocktail Party on the Saturday evening.  Guests were given prizes for solving riddles, indulged in a Wonderland themed lolly bar, and enjoyed a great night of entertainment. 

Mater’s next GP Education Conference will be held on 4 -5 November at Sea World on the Gold Coast and will cover a range of Women’s Health topics including Mater Mothers’ Maternity Shared Care sessions.  For further details and booking information please visit the materonline events page.
