Mater invests in new private clinical equipment

Friday 12 March 2021

Mater has invested more than $560,000 to purchase a number of new pieces of equipment across our South East Queensland private hospitals, to help improve our efficiency across theatres, suites and wards.

Mater Private Hospital Brisbane have recently purchased the following pieces:

  • Cystoscope
  • Olympus 4K Monitor
  • 2.x Gastroscopes
  • Colonoscope

We will notify VMOs working at our South Brisbane facilities once these pieces are available.

Mater Private Hospital Redland have purchased:

  • Sterrad 100NX All Clear
  • BK Medical Ultrasound

The Sterrad 100NX All Clear has been installed, ensuring sterility assurance of equipment, as well as tracking ability within the hospital to ensure our theatres and clinical teams can continue to run smoothly and efficiently.

The BK Ultrasound will replace Mater Private Hospital Redland’s current urology ultrasound, using real-time intraoperative ultrasound to provide surgeons with critical information to make decisions which impact surgical outcomes in the urological domain.

Mater Private Hospital Springfield will be purchasing a new bladder scanner for its Cancer Care Centre in the coming months.

For more information please contact Directors of Clinical Services, Tracey Hutley, Carlie Nielsen and Suzanne Hawksley.
