Dr Dallas Fowler and Dr Yassmin Musthaffa provide personalised care for children and families seeking advice on all aspects of paediatric endocrinology.
Both Dallas and Yassmin provide the additional benefit of having been dual qualified as general paediatricians prior to completing their paediatric endocrine training. This provides them a unique ability to provide comprehensive, well-rounded and holistic care for their paediatric patients.
Dallas and Yassmin take pride in advocating for evidence-based medicine and have cultivated a rich background in paediatric diabetes and endocrinology research. Both clinicians have been awarded national accolades and prestigious grants to support research that improves the lives of children with endocrine conditions. Dallas has been involved in research involving growth and Prader-Willi Syndrome. Yassmin is nearing completion of a PhD in immunotherapy that is ultimately aimed at finding a cure for type 1 diabetes.
As Dallas and Yassmin have navigated their career, there has been a natural evolution into a mentorship role for their junior colleagues. Dallas is involved in training of general paediatric junior doctors and is an examiner in the clinical examination for the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP). Yassmin is employed as a Professional Teaching Fellow for the Paediatric FRACP Written Examination Preparation Course.
As professional mums, both Dallas and Yassmin are compassionate, nurturing and dedicated to taking care of children and their families.
