Today, Mater is launching our new brand; a new symbol in line with the organisation’s new strategic direction which repositions Mater as a group that incorporates health, education and research for a healthy community.
On Wednesday 21 November, we will launch our new Mater Group brand to the community so from this date you will start to see our new brand roll out across the group.
Since commencing my new role I have been spending as much time as possible with our VMOs and discussing how Mater is meeting their needs. In addition I have been reviewing feedback from the VMO survey that was conducted earlier this year and thought this was a great opportunity to provide an update on some of the initiatives being worked on as a direct result from the feedback.
Dr Martin Wood has accepted the position of Director, Mater Centre for Neurosciences commencing in January 2019. Dr Wood will lead the development and embedding of strategy and vision for the Mater Centre for Neurosciences.
A new mobile phone app being trialled at Mater Mothers’ Hospital Brisbane aims to reduce the rate of stillbirth in Australia by 30 per cent by focusing on a baby’s kicks.
