The most recent Outpatient Clinic waitlist data is now available materonline. By supplying GPs with this information Mater aims to support both clinical decisions and conversations with patients around referral pathway options. This information can now be quickly accessed from the home page of materonline. 

This information provides visibility over which Mater clinics have the capacity to quickly see your patients and which do not and is intended for referring doctors.

The information provides:

• Total number of patients waiting per speciality clinic (Total waiting)
• Median days wait for patients in each speciality by category (MDW)
• Percentage of patients waiting within the clinically recommended timeframes (WIT)
• Instances where there are no patients on the waiting list for a specific clinic/category (N/A)
• Percentage waiting in target by category

Mater is working with general practice representatives on a series of initiatives to improve access for patients. We understand the importance of transparent communication with you, our GP partners, in achieving this. We have listened to GP feedback and have provided key information about wait times for specialist clinic appointments.
