This popular alignment program seminar provides a fast paced interactive 6 hour education event for GP’s wishing to align with Mater Mothers Hospitals to provide Maternity Shared Care. Seminar 1 is the essential program for all GP’s new to the alignment program. It attracts RACGP 40 Category 1 Women’s Health points and covers the following topics: First trimester presentations, recommended screening tests, ultrasound scanning including nuchal translucency recommendations, gestational diabetes, prescribing in pregnancy, communication with MMH, Rh negative women, hypertension, pre-eclampsia, early pregnancy bleeding, reduced fetal movements, immunisations and depression.

Mater’s GP Education Conference typically attracts GPs that are serious about staying informed of the latest health information and using that knowledge to improve patient outcomes. The conference program has been structured to provide opportunities to network, meet and talk with colleagues and presenters. Take advantage of this melting pot of talent to discuss your own cases.
The program will be submitted to the RACGP for 40 category 1 points and category 2 point allocation. The Advanced Life Support session meets annual RACGP requirements to undertake a CPR course.

This popular alignment program seminar provides a fast paced interactive 6 hour education event which continues on from Alignment Seminar 1. It attracts RACGP 40 Category 1 Women’s Health points and covers the following topics: Preconception workup, fertility, diabetes in pregnancy, preterm labour, premature rupture of membranes, ectopic pregnancies, infections in pregnancy, post-partum examinations, breastfeeding, the neonatal examination, common neonatal presentations and the fussy infant.
Seminar 2 is for GP’s who have previously undertaken the Mater Mothers' Hospital alignment program or have completed a maternity shared care affiliated program.
