Mater is pleased to announce the appointment of Arna Chauncey as Director of Nursing, Surgical/Acute Care Services.
Arna has been with Mater for 10 years, during which time she has held a variety of clinical leadership positions, including her most recent role as Nursing Director, Perioperative and Procedural Services.
Her broad experience in strategic leadership and operational and project management, partnered with her extensive clinical experience, supports Mater’s aim of enhanced leadership across the organisation through the creation of medically-led clinical streams.
Arna holds a Bachelor of Nursing from Queensland University of Technology and Graduate Certificate in Leadership and Management from Australian College of Nursing.
Her appointment finalises recruitment of the Surgical/Acute Care Services clinical stream leadership triumvirate, with Dr Sanjeev Naidu (Clinical Stream Director) and Ian Le Quesne (Business Lead) appointed in August.
