Mater Hospital Brisbane offers a ‘Request for Advice’ (RFA) service to support GPs wanting access to specialist advice on diagnostic and/or treatment options for their patients.
Our current endocrinology, cardiology and dermatology Mater eConsultant service is expanding to include: Respiratory and sleep, neurology, infectious diseases, renal, paediatric dermatology and obstetric-medicine from 4 March 2024.
This is not a referral to Mater, but is a request for timely clinical advice which may eliminate the need for a specialist face-to-face outpatient consultation.
The service uses a secure messaging platform and is asynchronous. GPs will receive feedback from the Mater eConsultant team within 3 business days.
Mater eConsultant is easily accessed using the templates below set up within the practice software system.
Email: [email protected] if you have any queries.
Tip: Prior to importing the templates into your practice management system, you will be required to save the documents to your local or network drive - do not open the documents prior to saving. To complete the import, open and follow the instructions attached to the relevant software template below.
