Urology: Prostate update: PSA and Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia

Information about this program:

Prostate cancer is the second-most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australian men and is the second most common cause of cancer death in Australian men. The illness and disability caused by prostate cancer also has a big effect on the lives of Australian men and their families.  The purpose of this education session is to explain the guidelines and to provide clear, consistent, evidence-based guidance on PSA testing and the early management of test-detected prostate cancers.

This event will be held from 6.30 pm-7.30 pm online using the Teams platform.

Topics include:

  • PSA – Curly cases and the emergence of MRI
  • Contemporary BPH treatment

Spine Pain Masterclass - 25 August 2020

Information about this program:

Back pain is a major challenge facing health professionals, and is responsible for significant personal and societal burden. This program will give GPs the knowledge and experience to support their patients with spine pain, so they may provide appropriate guidance on choices of care for spinal conditions requiring surgical intervention—the presentations, the surgical techniques used to treat them, and aftercare.

This event will be held from 6.30 pm - 9 pm at Factory 51, 51 Holdsworth Street Coorparoo Qld 4151.

Please note: due to COVID-19 restrictions, attendance at this event is STRICTLY LIMITED to the advertised number.

If you are unable to register, the event may be full. Please phone Carla Kent on 0401 252 467 to be placed on a waiting list. We will contact you to confirm your registration and attendance if a place becomes available.

  • All attendees MUST have a valid registration—due to COVID-19 restrictions, we may not be able to accomodate walk-ins.
  • All valid registrations will be confirmed by email and verified by phone.
  • Registrations are not transferable. If you are not able to attend, it is essential you let us know as soon as possible so your place can be re-allocated.
