GP Maternity Shared Care Alignment - Seminar 3 (Virtual)

Please note that this event is now full, any new registrations will be placed on a waitlist.
 
The education on Saturday 5 September will be delivered via ‘Zoom’. There will be a mandatory podcast and powerpoint that you will be required to view prior to the day (approx. 2 hours).
 
The virtual education will run from 8.30 am until 1 pm, with a half hour break and will consist of presentations and discussion with the whole group as well as ‘breakout’ sessions, working with various presenters to discuss mental health considerations and obstetric complications. 
 
As per all of our Alignment programs, there will be a quiz and evaluation after the day for participants to complete. 
 
Please note that you need to have completed Alignment 1 to be able to register for Alignment 3.

From December 2021, GP's will need to complete an Alignment with Metro South Hospital and Health Service if they wish to provide shared antenatal care in the Metro South Health region.

Presented by leading specialists from Mater Private Hospital Redland.

General practitioners play a critical role in managing a large cross section of patients with a variety of complaints, injuries and conditions. "Below the Belt" will cover issues of the bowel common in general practice, and give an update on latest innovations in lower limb orthopaedics.

This is a virtual event and will be held from 6.30 pm-8.30 pm online using the Teams platform.

Topics:

  • IBS and low FODMAP update, NBCSP, colon cancer screening and surveilance update
  • Difficulties with diverticulitis 
  • Innovations in lower limb treatments

Presenters: this session's presenters all consult locally and admit patients to Mater Private Hospital Redland.
