Dr Bell consults from the Specialist Suites at Mater Health Hub Springfield and operates at Mater Private Hospital Springfield.
Dr Bell provides treatment of general surgical conditions such as gallbladder and (laparoscopic) hernia surgery, removal of lipomas and skin cysts, as well as breast and endocrine surgery.
Originally from the Netherlands, Dr Bell completed medical school in 2003 and worked in Utrecht as a junior doctor. In 2006, she relocated to Australia and was subsequently accepted into the Queensland General Surgical training program. She completed her training as a General Surgeon in 2014 and became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
During her general surgical training years, Dr Bell developed an interest in breast and endocrine surgery and pursued a further two years post-fellowship training with BreastSurgANZ where she gained additional experience in oncoplastic breast surgery and endocrine surgery.
Dr Bell has held a public appointment at Ipswich Hospital since 2017 and is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland, where she fulfils her passion in teaching medical students. She also holds an appointment at BreastScreen QLD and instructs on the ASSET (surgical skills) course for aspiring surgical trainees.
Dr Bell consults fortnightly at Mater Health Hub, Springfield and practices privately at Mater Private Hospital Springfield. Her wait time is less than two weeks. Cancers are prioritised to less than a week.
